The 1980s wasn’t Bollywood’s best decade, but it did have some good movies and it rarely faltered on good music or songs.
Rakesh Roshan was an average actor in Hindi movies but went onto to become a successful director. Before he launched his son Hrithik to superstardom in his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, he had given several hit movies like Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Koyla. Khudgarz was his debut film as a director . It was loosely inspired from Jeffery Archer’s famous novel Kane and Abel.
I remember the movie vividly having watched it on VHS rentals in my childhood - but the reruns were maximum on these 6 mins of the movie.
Aap Ke Aa Jane Se
Neelam and Govinda - one of the cutest pairs of 80s Bollywood. Govinda being amongst the first actors who could actually dance and we are still fans of his dancing style.
Snow capped mountains and the cute choreography - what’s not to love 😀
The opening tune is so iconic, any 80s kids who are fans of Bollywood will recognise it immediately.
